- Lollapalooza - super music festival of top music groups
- Chicago Air and Water Show - airplanes and boat show (performances) by Lake Michigan
- Chicago Hot Dog Festival - The fabulous frankfurter will be celebrated at this third annual outdoor event at the south end of Lincoln Park that benefits the Chicago History Museum. Also features a music stage and kids' activities. Free to get in but the cost of purchasing food is variable. -
