  • Lollapalooza - super music festival of top music groups
  • Chicago Air and Water Show - airplanes and boat show (performances) by Lake Michigan

  • Chicago Hot Dog Festival - The fabulous frankfurter will be celebrated at this third annual outdoor event at the south end of Lincoln Park that benefits the Chicago History Museum. Also features a music stage and kids' activities.  Free to get in but the cost of purchasing food is variable. - usually first week of August
  • Chicago Cubs baseball at Wrigley Field - one of the last traditional baseball parks, well worth a visit to watch a game, enjoy the sun while eating salted peanuts and beer - for tickets and schedule click here
