A good summer time past time is visiting neighborhood festivals in Chicago and suburbs and nearby cities. Many festivals include local restaurant food, artwork, music and plenty of beer. Many will charge an entrance fee.
Local block parties are usually only for the people living on that block. If you Live on the block go ahead and visit, bring some food and meet new people.
